Discord is an online chat and communication platform which allows Oxygen to engage with young people in a virtual way.  It provides a sort of virtual youth club where young people can play games, quizzes and tournaments as well as connect with a member of the Oxygen team to get help and support.  It extends our reach, providing opportunities to engage with more young people, particularly those who might not be able to meet with us through a club or project, and in a way which relates to their interests.

For safeguarding reasons, it is a closed group, but if you, or someone you know would like to connect with us through Discord, then you have a couple of options:

Refer a young person

This requires a short form to be completed by an adult (parent/guardian/teacher) followed by a consent form giving us permission to engage directly with the young person.

You can also find instructions on how to set up a Discord profile.

Direct Engagement Consent

This is for parents to complete giving permission for the Oxygen team to invite your son or daughter to join the platform.  You can also find instructions on how to set up a Discord profile here
