What we need
The shop is a way of raising funds for Oxygen, engaging with our local supporters and providing a place for young people and adults to volunteer. Having a presence on the High Street has been great for raising the profile of our work with disadvantaged young people in the community.
Donations to sell:
Good quality nearly-new, vintage, retro and designer clothes
Ornaments, china, glass
Jewellery, watches, handbags
Children's and baby clothes
Vintage and retro furniture
Large mirrors, cases and trunks
Paintings, frames,
Records books, DVDs, CDs
Dolls houses, toys, games and jigsaw puzzles (in good condition)
Electrical items, cameras, plants
E.T.C.
Mobile phones (for the mobile mop up programme)
Skills:
We need people to offer their skills, expertise or time for the following tasks:
Customer Service
Processing donations
Organising the back room
Displays and windows
Washing, ironing, steaming and repairs
Valuing special items including antiques
Online selling ebay, facebook, depop e.t.c..
More about Oxygen
Oxygen is a local charity that works with disadvantaged and marginalised young people across Kingston and neighbouring boroughs. We deliver projects that respond to young people's needs including: afterschool clubs, holiday clubs, work on deprived estates, anti-knife crime project, mentoring, trips and residentials. We also run the Kingston, Street Pastors project that puts volunteers out on Friday and Saturday evenings.
