Oxygen runs a range of training programmes for young people, youth workers and church and community volunteers. We use both our highly qualified staff and workers as well as drawing on external trainers and advsors. Nov 25th 2009: Child Protection Training
With a significant number of new volunteers Oxygen in the last month, plus with the number of people we are in touch with in local churches, we are planning on running a Child Protection at the basement in central Kingston. This session will be highly interactive and will allow workers and volunteers to explore how to best ensure the safety of the young people they are working with. The training will last 1 1/2hours (8-9.30pm) and is open to anyone who works or volunteers for a local church or project.
We are planning on running a Youthwork conference style event at ST Peters where we will be having more Child Protection training as well as various speakers on specialist issues. More information to follow.
