Welcome to Oxygen

Urban life is concerned with survival, just being able to stay alive on the streets with all the pressures and stresses that life brings. Music and sport are just two ways that we can escape from or express what urban life is really like.

Oxygen is the Christian youthwork charity in Kingston Borough, set-up and maintained by a network of 22 local Churches, who support it with their time, prayer and money.

Oxygen's aim is to "give urban young people in Kingston Borough the opportunity to discover and follow Jesus". This is to be achieved through serving, building relationships with young people, and relying on God. Practically this involves using music, football, street based work, drop in clubs (such as Rock Solid and the base), as well as just allowing youthworkers to become friends and guides to young people.

Our urban youthwork wants to show that discovering and following the real Jesus provides a unique and revolutionary way to survive on the streets.
