THEVENT (the monthly band night run by Oxygen) is now celebrating its fourth birthday and 40th gig.

Started in March 2002 by young people from across the Kingston Music scene THEVENT has grown from strength to strength and is now firmly established as Kingston Borough’s premier under 18s live band event. During this time the work of THEVENT has expanded to include a weekly drop in café, discussion group, film night, music workshops and residential weekends

During the last four years over 2000 different young people have come through the doors of THEVENT and over 50 young bands have performed to crowds of their friends and peers.

Come and celebrate THEVENT’s fourth birthday with a 4th year special gig on March 11th at the Oxygen Centre from 8 – 11pm.
