Importing Oxygen from around the world! posted 08 05 06

Kingston Borough is placing host to an international team of youthworkers at present as Christian youthwork project Oxygen has recently welcomed five young people from five different countries and three continents to work with it projects amongst young people of the area.

Of the ten people working as full time volunteers with Oxygen at present over half were born outside the UK. They come from as far away as Australia and Uganda, but all of them have come to Kingston to work and make a difference to young people in Kingston Borough.

Through bringing together people of different cultures the international Oxygen team hope to bring an awareness and appreciation of the diversity and unity that young people share no matter what country that they are from.
