Mission in London

Mission in London is a collaborative project spearheaded by Youth for Christ centres across London that seeks to build on the good work of such initiatives as Soul in the City as well as recent national government drives towards encouraging more young people into community service and activity.

 

Mission in London’s aim is:

 

“to empower young people to love God through serving their communities across London”.

 

This is to be achieved through:

• Collaboration and partnership
• Flexible programmes
• Mentoring and character building equipping

How it operates

Mission in London is not an organisation but rather a network opportunity for organisations who have a love for God, London and young people to come together through a common approach. We believe that through coming together with our individual resources, expertise and outreach work we will be able to have a bigger impact than we would be able to have alone.

 

In this way in time we hope to be able to encourage, recruit, train and mentor more groups of young people from all backgrounds and cultures to be involved in mission and community activity not only for a week but in every day of their life.
