Many of Oxygen’s projects are established to make contact and build relationships with Kingston Borough’s young people. Within each of these projects there are young people who want to go further, ask more questions and explore possible answers. Going Deeper is the stream of projects that Oxygen has created to meet this need.Oxygen’s Going Deeper scheme of work is a series of projects carried out in partnership with specific local churches.

Going Deeper works by providing a supportive, directive framework for young people who are interested in exploring bigger questions in life and faith. Led by a church Youthworker with specific responsibilities for “external youthwork”, the work aims to help young people come together, to share and to grow together Going Deeper looks different in each location as it is young people directed, but in principle Going Deeper wherever it takes places is about giving young people space, to explore, to create and to ask and be asked questions whilst having a chance to explore possible answers.
