Central to Oxygen’s mission statement of “allowing young people to discover and follow Jesus” is the truth that Jesus was concerned with allowing people to discover their true identity, as well as learn to perceive and understand the world through a lens of compassion and forgiveness. It is to this mandate that Oxygen as an organisation subscribes too when it places relationships, service and relying on God as central to its work with young people.

If viewed as a business this would mean that Oxygen’s product is not its events or projects, but rather the relationships and attitudes embodied and fostered in the lives and interactions of Oxygen Youthworkers

For us, we know that God is not happy with the way things are, he wants our lives and world to be a better place, a place where people matter, and pain and suffering dont exist. Our calling as "Christians" is to pursue that new "kingdom" where love, compassion, and wholeness reign.
