Summer Festivals
Each summer there is a range of different music and arts festivals that run all over the country. We want to pick on a few of our favourites so that you can find out more, and get a chance to maybe go along with some of the Oxygen workers to see what they are like........we promise that your life will not be the same when you return!
Greenbelt ........Is a Christian Arts Festival held on August Bank Holiday each year. Having run for over 25 years Greenbelt is one of the longest running of the festivals as well as one of the widest ranging (from arts to crafts and music and discussions). Central to Greenbelt's philsophy is a commitment to justice and mercy for the world, so dont go expecting to take and not receive! For more information check out: www.greenbelt.org.u
Creationfest.........Is a free music festival that started in the summer of 2002 as a one day event and has grown now to encompass a 3 music festival. All the action takes place in North Devon and is available to people from all over the UK. thevent workers Matt and Rob are involved with this fesitval and a team from their church goes each year. for more information check out: www.creationfest.org.uk
Soul Survivor.......Is one of the biggest of the current crop of Christian Youth Festivals. Not occuring world wide, and having a unique element of mission and worship Soul Survivor meets across two seperate weeks (you chose which to go to) in a field in Shepton Mallet. Unlike the other two fesitvals above Soul Survivor is focused on Worship and teaching, but also incorporates various other venues that host gigs, cafes and competitions.
